Started in 1876 in a spacious hall called Albert Hall, this establishment still retains its grandeur to this day. It used to be a hub for the who’s who of Kolkata, with writers, poets, film stars, politicians and more being regulars. Today, it is a favourite of the students who are attending college nearby and drop in for a quick bite between classes. We couldn’t visit Indian Coffee House and not try a cup of their special coffee, which was delicious. We paired that up with some of their mouth-watering snacks and tried the veg cutlet, chicken sandwich, and fish fry, all of which hit the spot. The best part? Their prices are incredibly pocket-friendly, which is another reason why this place is so beloved by the locals.
