Pukaha walk 12th September 2026

Pukaha Wildlife Centre (Mount Bruce) is about a 17Km drive south of Eketahuna. They manage an unfenced breeding sanctuary for native wildlife and where you might see a Kiwi. The Pūkaha Loop Track (Te Arapiki o Tawhaki) at the Pūkaha National Wildlife Centre is a 4-kilometer shaded native forest walk, it has a relatively easy climb, clear walkway and at a steady pace means an average walker can complete the walk within a couple of hours. Then back to the visitor centre to enjoy a latte at the cafe.
