The Power of Name Tags & God’s True Identity "God" is a title, not a personal name: Just as you wouldn’t claim a deep, personal relationship with a stranger by calling them "bro" or "guy," you cannot reduce the Almighty to a generic title. Scripture reveals over 60 names of God because He is inexhaustible. Crises reveal His name tags: Your trials aren't there to break you; they are divine setups to discover who He has always been: Jehovah Jireh (The Provider when your money is funny) Jehovah Rapha (The Healer in sickness) Jehovah Shalom (Your Peace in anxiety) El Roi (The God Who Sees your silent tears) El Shaddai (God Almighty—More Than Enough) Jehovah Nissi (The Lord Is Our Banner in battle) 2. Deconstructing the Third Commandment (Three Hebrew Keys) Take (Nasa = To Lift or Carry): You wear a name tag 24/7. Carrying His name in vain means dragging His reputation through poor character, toxic digital footprints, or compromised integrity. People judge Christ by how you carry His name. Name (Shim = Identity & Authority): God’s name represents His holy nature. Treating it as casual punctuation strips away its reverence. Vain (Shave = Empty or Deceptive): Stop tagging God in your personal drama, political agendas, or selfish ambitions by falsely claiming "God told me." 3. The Bottom Line Jesus taught us to pray, "Hallowed [kept holy] be Your name" before asking for our daily bread. Intimacy with Abba, Father should never produce irreverence.
