QANTAS B737-800 QF136 Economy Class - Christchurch to Sydney, Flying On The Retro Roo (4K)

After a brief stay in the Garden City (Christchurch) it was time to go home. I did arrive at the airport quite early, so once immigration and security was taken care of, I spent the best part of an hour just chilling out in a quiet area in the terminal, before heading to the lounge (which gets extremely busy with 4 flights all leaving at similar times). Even though it is a contract lounge, the food offering is always solid, plus it is very convenient to the gates Qantas use. The flight was smooth and uneventful, the dinner options were a Hot Chicken Pasta (which I had), a Cold Pastrami Salad and a Vegetable Curry & Rice. Due to a strong tailwind we were originally due to arrive a lot earlier than scheduled, unfortunately Air Traffic Control put an end to that slowing us down, so arrival was pretty much on time, albeit a minor delay connecting the aerobridge. Once out of the terminal, it was a quick walk to the dedicated Uber pick up area for a ride home.
