Pokemon Pine beta (Exploration/Playthrough of FRLG.ips's "sister hack")

all of my footage of Kyle's Pine beta hack listed on Abby's website, from the FRLG.ips ARG created by novameow. uploading it here mostly just so i can show to my friends. as you might be able to tell, I tried to follow the general steps of Abby's "how to find in FRLG" guide, just with Torchic instead of the kanto starters (since there are none offered, of course). If you're looking for spooky happenings or any mentions of the ABYSS from this hack, prepare to be disappointed. my take on it is that Kyle stopped working on this hack after what happened with Abby, thus leaving Pine largely unfinished. still, it's a bit interesting that this hack seemingly goes out of its way at every turn to prevent you from activating the ABYSS route - Torchic will refuse to evolve ("......?" dialogue); you can't re-enter the portion of early Mt. Moon after leaving, thus being unable to obtain the Lucky Egg... ... and, of course, before being able to go through Mt. Moon for real the second time, the hack ends. even so, there is a new rock by the water. did you know that Barbor Town is a sister city to Pallet? (play FRLG.ips by novameow please please please it's so good, more info here: www.pokecommunity.com/threads/frlg-ips.542500/ )
