CROSSTOWN REBELS - Deniz Kurtel will be one female you will be hearing a lot about in the coming months as she drops her debut artist album on Crosstown Rebels, pre-empted by one of the tracks of the year, "The L Word". From a classic original to an epic masterpiece, Guy Gerber turns this into an unforgettable package. His countryside remix is haunting and epic, climbing ever higher into your consciousness. Sounding like Four Tet crossed with Moodymann, the whistling pipes and echoed pads tease and swirl on the shimmering vocal.
