Our destination was Siliguri, but we had planned a few stops along the way to soak in the breathtaking beauty of the Himalayas. First, we rode to Nathula Pass, a historic border crossing between India and China. The pass was bustling with tourists and soldiers, but the stunning views of the surrounding mountains made it worth the chaos. We spent a few moments taking in the sights and paying our respects at the war memorial. Next, we visited Baba Mandir, a temple dedicated to Harbhajan Singh, a soldier who died in the 1962 Indo-China war. The temple was a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by soldiers who guard our borders. After a quick lunch, we rode to Kupup Lake, a serene and tranquil spot nestled in the midst of the Himalayas. The lake was surrounded by towering mountains and offered breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. As we continued our ride, we found ourself on the historic Silk Route, a ancient trade route that connected India to China and Tibet. The route was dotted with scenic villages, monasteries, and temples, each one offering a glimpse into the region's rich history and culture. Finally, after a long and tiring ride, we arrived in Siliguri, feeling exhilarated and fulfilled. The ride had been an adventure of a lifetime, offering breathtaking views, historic landmarks, and a glimpse into the region's rich culture and history.
