Pick Ups Tractors Combines & Trucks

Pickups, Tractors, Combines & Trucks is an original country-rock song about the people, machines and generations that keep our farms running — and put food on our tables. I grew up in a farming community where long days, early mornings and working until the job was finished were simply part of life. You learned to drive because there was work to be done. You learned from your parents, grandparents, uncles and neighbours, and eventually those lessons were passed along to another generation. The machinery changes, but the purpose doesn't. “Pickups, tractors, combines and trucks; These we rely on to bring in the bucks; You see we don't have an office out in the field; What we do have is harvest that makes your next meal.” This song is a tribute to farmers and farm families — the people working behind the scenes every day, dealing with weather, markets, equipment, long hours and all the uncertainty that comes with agriculture. And perhaps most importantly, it's about something that can't be measured in acres or dollars: passing the land, knowledge and work ethic from one generation to the next. Written by Ian McLean and produced using AI-assisted music tools. If you grew up on a farm, worked harvest, or simply appreciate the people who produce our food, I hope there's something in this song that feels familiar. #CountryRock #FarmLife #Farming #Farmers #Harvest #Agriculture #OriginalMusic #CountryMusic #CanadianFarming #IanMcLean
