The Blazers Are WAY Better Than You Think...

#NBA #fourthquarter #Basketball The Portland Trail Blazers are WAY better than anyone expected, and their biggest surprise isn't even their offense. With Damian Lillard, Ja Morant, and Deni Avdija leading the way, Portland opened the 2026-27 NBA season with a 4-1 record and impressive performances on both ends of the court. But is this the beginning of something special, or just an early-season hot streak? In this video, Fourth Quarter breaks down why the Portland Trail Blazers could become a serious Western Conference playoff threat. We examine how Damian Lillard's off-ball movement creates space, how Ja Morant attacks the paint, and why Deni Avdija might be the most important connector in Portland's offense. We also explore the defensive impact of Toumani Camara, Donovan Clingan, Robert Williams III, and Jrue Holiday. And there's another challenge: Ja Morant's hamstring injury. Can Portland maintain its offensive identity without one of its most explosive creators? Is the defense actually sustainable? And can the Blazers compete for a top-six seed in the Western Conference? The early results are promising, but there are important questions this team still needs to answer. Watch the full breakdown to discover why Portland might be far more dangerous than the rest of the NBA expected.
