আত্মা সর্বজ্ঞ এবং তাই তা ব্যথা, দুঃখ ও ভয়ের ঊর্ধ্বে। উপনিষদ হলো আত্মজ্ঞানের মাধ্যমে মুক্তির বিজ্ঞান। চারটি বেদের অন্তিম ভাগই উপনিষদ বা বেদান্ত নামে পরিচিত, যা বৈদিক দর্শনের সারমর্ম প্রকাশ করে। সাধারণ যাগযজ্ঞ ও আচার-অনুষ্ঠান অতিক্রম করে পরম সত্যে উপনীত হওয়াই এর মূল লক্ষ্য। উপযুক্ত পথপ্রদর্শক এবং ভাষ্য ছাড়া এই পরম সত্য উপলব্ধি করা কঠিন। জীব ও ব্রহ্মের অভেদত্বই উপনিষদের কেন্দ্রীয় ভাব। Atman is all knowing and hence it is beyond pain, suffering and fear. The Upanishads represent the science of inner freedom attained through self-realization. Forming the concluding portion and essence of the four Vedas (Vedanta), they lead the spiritual seeker beyond preliminary rituals toward profound metaphysical truth. This discourse introduces the genesis of the Kathopanishad, outlining how ancient wisdom resolves the non-difference between the individual self and the ultimate reality. This discourse in Bengali is part of a systematic study of the Kathopanishad. It is part of a dedicated effort by Indian Spiritual Heritage to preserve and share the authentic wisdom of Indian scriptures in their purest form.
