MARK'S NOTCAST Ep 494: The Anchoress "As We Once Were" is (almost definitely) the best album of 2026

Released last week, The Anchoress new album "As We Once Were" is a powerful, articulate exploration of identity, trauma, and generations of parenthood, and how we respond to these events, and transform into positive experiences where we work with - and assert - our identity and our dignity. I talk a lot about my role as a parent, and the death of my parents, which you may find difficult. Album talk comes in about 7 minutes in. This is almost definitely the best album of 2026 to me. 12 August 2026.
