*DANCE OF FORGETTING* Written from a true memory. Many years ago, after my marriage ended, I took a trip to Vancouver, Canada. One night, I walked into a nightclub simply hoping to leave the weight of the past behind for a little while. Then our eyes met. Suddenly, a heart that had been tired began to beat strongly again. Under the lights and music, two strangers danced, laughed, and enjoyed the moment so completely that the world around us seemed to disappear. We didn't stop the clock. *We simply forgot it existed.* There were no promises about tomorrow. No questions about forever. Just music, two beating hearts, and one beautiful night. I carried that feeling home with me and wrote it down. Years later, that memory has finally found its music: *DANCE OF FORGETTING* Sometimes we dance because we want to forget.
