TMC DH88 Dean Hill – Narrow Gauge DCC Sound Loco Service

Finishing this batch is the distinctive narrow gauge DH88 Dean Hill, finished in yellow with wasp stripes. The locomotive was previously DCC sound fitted by The Model Centre (TMC) and subsequently came into the Platform Collectables workshop for a standard service after developing poor running. The wheelsets and electrical pickups were thoroughly cleaned, the drivetrain inspected and fresh lubrication applied where required. Following reassembly, the locomotive was tested under DCC with its existing sound installation and is now back to smooth and reliable running. For the Facebook posts, I'd also change phrases such as "TMC narrow gauge loco" to "previously DCC sound fitted by The Model Centre". That makes the division of work crystal clear and also gives TMC proper credit for their installation.
