The Drive Up Florida's West Coast: US 19 & 98, Homosassa Springs to Perry: in 4K

If you'd like to avoid the interstates on your drive into or out of Florida, here's another option. US 19 and 98 can take you through the west side of the state. This drive begins in Homosassa, near the end of the Suncoast Parkway (a quicker alternative for the drive to or from Tampa). The drive heads north through Crystal River, Chiefland, and Fanning Springs, before arriving in Perry, Florida. At Perry, you can choose to head west to Tallahassee, east towards Jacksonville, or continue north into Georgia. I made this trip in September 2020.
