Tuesday Luncheon - Joseph Kearney, Dean, Marquette University Law School

As the United States celebrates its 250th anniversary, Rotarians gathered yesterday in Memorial Hall to reflect on the nation’s founding document with Joseph Kearney, Dean of Marquette University Law School. Dean Kearney explored the meaning and significance of the Declaration of Independence, examining how the 1776 document should be understood within the context of its own time and how it continues to shape our understanding of the Constitution, and discussed the Declaration’s lasting relevance and its continued role in conversations about American ideals, government, and civic life.
