CURSE OF THE DEMON - Iconic 1950s Horror - Jacques Tourneur

This British film, known there as "Night of the Demon," was director Jacques Tourneur's great addition to horror in the 1950s. Dana Andrews, accompanied by Peggy Cummins, sets out to expose the leader of a devil cult and finds himself relentlessly tracked down by a demon from hell. The director did not want to show the monster up close, having turned out three superior horror films in the 1940s for producer Val Lewton who believed that what remains unseen is more frightening. I understand, but am still glad that we have this iconic spawn of Hell to gaze upon every now and then. #nightofthedemon #curseofthedemon #jacquestourneur #horror #horrorfilm #horrormovies #peggycummins #danaandrews
