“Fear Thou Not” is a peaceful and powerful Celtic Gospel / Biblical Folk song built around the promise of Isaiah 41:10—God’s assurance to His people that they need not fear because He is with them, will strengthen them, help them, and uphold them with His righteous hand.
The song carries an ancient, almost timeless atmosphere. Gentle strings and Celtic-inspired instrumentation surround the male and female vocals, giving the words the feeling of an old biblical promise being sung from one generation to another.
Rather than pretending fear never comes, “Fear Thou Not” speaks directly into those moments when mountains rise, shadows gather, enemies surround, and our own strength begins to fail.
“Fear thou not, for I am with thee,
Be not dismayed, thy God am I.”
The old-world biblical language gives the song a distinctive character, while the duet vocals make the promise feel personal—as though one voice is crying out from the struggle while another answers with the Word of God.
As the song grows, thunder, darkness, grief, and uncertainty are repeatedly answered by the same assurance:
God is still near.
God will strengthen.
God will sustain.
God will not forsake.
The repeated chorus becomes more than a lyric—it becomes a declaration against fear.
“Fear Thou Not” is for anyone walking through uncertainty, grief, anxiety, hardship, or a season when the road ahead feels impossible. It is a musical reminder that courage does not require the absence of a storm. Sometimes courage simply means trusting the One who promised to remain with us through it.

FEAR THOU NOT
When mountains rise before thy way,
And shadows steal the light of day,
When trembling hands can scarcely hold,
Hear thou the word the Lord hath told:
Fear thou not, for I am with thee,
Be not dismayed, thy God am I,
When storm and darkness gather near,
I shall uphold thee—do not fear.
Fear thou not, fear thou not,
For I am with thee where thou art,
I shall strengthen, I shall sustain,
Through fire and wind, through grief and rain.
With My right hand I'll hold thee fast,
Through every trial till it be past,
Fear thou not, fear thou not,
For I am with thee where thou art.
When foes arise on every side,
And there seems nowhere left to hide,
Lift up thine eyes unto the King,
And hear the ancient promise ring:
“I am thy God, I strengthen thee,
Yea, I shall help and carry thee,
Though all the earth beneath thee shake,
My righteous hand shall not forsake.”
Fear thou not, fear thou not,
For I am with thee where thou art,
I shall strengthen, I shall sustain,
Through fire and wind, through grief and rain.
With My right hand I'll hold thee fast,
Through every trial till it be past,
Fear thou not, fear thou not,
For I am with thee where thou art.
Though thunder roll across the hill,
The voice of God is stronger still,
Though night descend upon the land,
His servant rests within His hand.
Be not dismayed.
Thy God is near.
He shall uphold thee.
Do not fear.
Fear thou not, fear thou not,
For I am with thee where thou art,
I shall strengthen, I shall sustain,
Through fire and wind, through grief and rain.
With My right hand I'll hold thee fast,
Through every trial till it be past,
Fear thou not, fear thou not...
For I am with thee.
