☕ Coffee, Discord & more → https://ahnp.pages.dev I finally stepped through the portal in The Planet Crafter, and I was so nervous you can actually see my hand shaking on screen. 🌀 In the last episode I built the portal generator and then hit a wall: the first scan asked for blazar quartz, which I can't craft. This time I scan for a distant wreck, pick a low difficulty one, and walk through into a place I know nothing about. On the other side there is pink water, an invisible wall, and a wreck that is completely different from anything on my own planet. I explore it room by room, always turning left first. Safes pay out Terra Tokens in stacks of 500, 1,000 and 5,000, and the lockers hide production multipliers, an energy multiplier and genetic traits I don't understand yet. The blazar quartz that blocked me turns up inside the wreck, three pieces in total, and a safe vault blueprint shows up when I least expect it. 💰 I set up my rover and drones to carry out whatever doesn't fit in my pockets, scan for a second wreck, and keep asking myself the scary question: if I close this portal, does everything I left behind disappear? 😰 And somewhere in the middle I realise that if the next stage of the game is only visiting wrecks and collecting loot, that might be exactly the rinse and repeat I don't enjoy. Will I keep the portal open?
