Fly Fishing For Wyoming Trout

The headwaters of the North Platte River flow out of Colorado into Wyoming where there are countless sections with incredible fly fishing. This trip occurred along two popular stretches known most notably for their nymph fly fishing. The Miracle Mile is a tail water that exists between Seminoe and Pathfinder reservoirs in Wyoming, as is Gray Reef which flows downstream from Alcova dam. Both are places where I have consistently caught several of the biggest trout in my life, mainly in the wintertime. Back in the day, I used to pay more attention to the forecasted river flows, but on this trip, I forgot to do so and we paid the price.
