Hike on the Gopher Tortise Ridge Trail

The Gopher Tortise Ridge Trail is a short trail located on the ground of the University of North Florida (UNF) campus in Jacksonville Florida. It is one of several nature trails located on the campus. It is well used by students and locals and is a great way to get some green time if in the area. I hiked this trail in March 2026, prior to my surgery on my ankle so some of my comments are a little dated ;) I also discuss some new equipment that I am trying out on this hike and I am happy to say that I still have and I am still using the bracket that I discuss in the video. I did not keep the battery pack I show in the video but located another one that is more suited for the bracket and my use. Thank you for watching. Take care..until we meet again.
