The Creature We All Came From: Surviving the Jurassic (Documentary) 4K

A DAY IN THE JURASSIC: WHEN THE HUNTER BECAME THE PREY    • The Creature We All Came From: Surviving t...   Description (Описание) 160 million years ago, giants ruled the Earth uncontested. The ground trembled beneath the footsteps of multi-ton sauropods, while swift predators—ancestors of Tyrannosaurus rex—stalked the understory. But high up in the primeval Araucaria canopy of the Tiaojishan Formation, an entirely different struggle for survival was unfolding. Here lived Juramaia (Juramaia sinensis)—a tiny, 15-gram arboreal hunter and the earliest known ancestor of all placental mammals. To survive in a world dominated by lethal reptiles and four-winged feathered dinosaurs, it had to undergo an anatomical revolution: remodel its auditory system, master nocturnal hunting, and abandon egg-laying once and for all. This is a cinematic chronicle of a single day in the Jurassic forest: from desperate pursuits along sheer tree trunks to the ultimate evolutionary gamble that would survive an asteroid impact 100 million years later and give rise to the modern world—from blue whales to humanity.
