“Ardhi Inaimba” — “The Land Is Singing” — celebrates Kenya through movement, colour and the passing on of knowledge. Sung in Kiswahili, this original song follows red-earth running paths in Iten, the herds crossing the Mara, elephants beneath an open sky, Maasai beadwork, Nairobi's vivid matatus and a dhow sailing off Lamu.
Its recurring invitation is simple: listen. From the mountains to the sea, every step has a story and every voice has a place.
The musical direction is contemporary Kenyan folk with benga-inspired interlocking guitars, melodic bass and a warm baritone lead, answered by mixed voices. This is a new creative composition, not a traditional Maasai song or a reproduction of ceremonial music.
The film moves between sweeping landscapes, wildlife and human creativity. Maasai culture forms one strand within Kenya's many communities and ways of life. The elephants are pictured in Amboseli, looking towards Kilimanjaro, which lies across the border in Tanzania. The flamingo scene evokes Lake Bogoria; flocks move between lakes as conditions change.

LYRICS
[Verse 1]
Asubuhi juu ya bonde,
Upepo unapita.
Miguu kwenye udongo mwekundu,
Safari inaanza.
Iten, pumzi za wakimbiaji,
Hatua zinafuatana.
Mbali, chini ya mwanga wa jua,
Nyasi zinacheza.
[Chorus]
Ardhi inaimba,
Tunasikia.
Kutoka milimani,
Mpaka baharini.
Kenya, sauti nyingi,
Wimbo unaendelea.
Kila hatua ina hadithi,
Kila sauti ina nafasi.
[Verse 2]
Mara, maji yananguruma,
Makundi yanavuka.
Tembo wanatembea pole,
Chini ya anga pana.
Shuka jekundu katika upepo,
Shanga zinang'aa.
Mikono inayajua mapambo,
Inapitisha maarifa.
[Chorus]
Ardhi inaimba,
Tunasikia.
Kutoka milimani,
Mpaka baharini.
Kenya, sauti nyingi,
Wimbo unaendelea.
Kila hatua ina hadithi,
Kila sauti ina nafasi.
[Verse 3]
Nairobi, rangi za matatu,
Mdundo unaamka.
Majina, ndoto, njia nyingi,
Mji unasonga mbele.
Lamu, tanga linajaa,
Upepo wa bahari.
Mashua inapita juu ya maji,
Pwani ina hadithi.
[Bridge — quieter]
Juu ya ziwa, mabawa ya waridi,
Yanainuka pamoja.
Chini ya mti, kivuli kirefu,
Jua linapungua.
Sikiliza…
Ardhi inaimba.
[Final Chorus — full voices]
Ardhi inaimba,
Tunasikia.
Kutoka milimani,
Mpaka baharini.
Kenya, sauti nyingi,
Wimbo unaendelea.
Kila hatua ina hadithi,
Kila sauti ina nafasi.
[Outro]
Safari inaendelea…
Ardhi inaimba.
ENGLISH MEANING / TOELICHTING
Title: The Land Is Singing. Verse 1: Morning over the valley; the wind passes. Feet on red earth begin a journey. In Iten, the runners breathe and their steps follow one another. Far away, beneath the sunlight, the grass dances. Chorus: The land is singing; we hear it. From the mountains to the sea. Kenya, many voices; the song continues. Every step has a story, every voice has a place. Verse 2: At the Mara, the water roars and the herds cross. Elephants walk slowly beneath a wide sky. A red shuka moves in the wind and beads gleam. Hands skilled in decoration pass on knowledge. Verse 3: In Nairobi, the colours of matatus accompany an awakening rhythm. Names, dreams and many routes: the city moves forward. In Lamu, a sail fills with the sea breeze. A boat crosses the water; the coast has stories. Bridge: Above the lake, pink wings rise together. Beneath a tree, a long shadow stretches as the sun sinks. Listen: the land is singing. Outro: The journey continues; the land is singing.
