SUMMERCAMP "Nowhere Near" Fuji Rock Festival 1997

Summercamp delivered an unforgettable performance on the main stage amidst a raging typhoon during the inaugural Fuji Rock Festival held on the iconic Mount Fuji in Japan. This momentous occasion coincided with the release of Summercamp's "Pure Juice." Despite the dangerous weather, the festival continued with headliners like the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters, Rage Against the Machine, and Third Eye Blind. Regrettably, the typhoon forced an early cancellation of the festival, but that first day remains etched in the memories of the 30,000-strong crowd and the participating bands. It has since become a legendary day in Japanese music history.
