In this video, I react to the incredible true story of Leo Major, a French-Canadian soldier who, after losing one eye on D-Day, went on to single-handedly convince 800–1,000 German troops to flee the city of Zwolle in April 1945. Armed with only a Sten gun and grenades, Major used psychological warfare and bold tactics to create the illusion of a full battalion assault. From capturing 93 German prisoners in France to earning two Distinguished Conduct Medals, Leo Major’s story challenges what we think is possible in wartime history.
