Fire Drops - 2026-08-31 Dark driving Eurorack patch featuring modules by ‪@NoiseEngineering‬ , ‪@xaoc_devices‬ , ‪@intellijel‬ , ‪@dubrussell‬, ‪@Befacosynth‬, ‪@FrapTools‬ and ‪@1010music‬. This patch started out as an excercise in creating rhythm by combining odd time division triggers and stacking different CV sources with a precision adder to alter pitch and modulation sequences. The percussive lead voice is Manis Iteritas Alia, triggered by a selection of time divisions from Befaco MIDI Thing V2. Starting out as sparse 4/16th, changing to hammering 1/16th for the second part and evolving to a combination of 2/16th, 3/16th and 5/16th providing odd yet regular rhythmic motivs. Manis runs into WTF! Versio which creates interesting and unexpected mangled slices of the original signal. The short pitch is from Mimetic Digitwolis. Mimetic Digitwolis also provides two bass pitch sequences. The first is the main bass sequence (A section), the second is added by the Frap Tools 333 to the first to create a B section. This combined pitch sequence is applied to both bass voices. Additionally, two square LFOs from Zadar are added to create an irregular pattern of octave jumps for the drone bass. Virt Iter Legio provides the bass drone, filtered by the heavily modulated Roucha Legio. The modulation from Mimetic DIgitalis is manually attenuated via Lapsus Os. The filter frequency is controlled by the pitch sequence of the percussive lead voice, which only becomes apparent occasionally at high filter resonance values. The aggressive lead bass sound is from Cursus Iteritas, which is run through a VCA modulated from Quadarx envelopes into a highly resonant twin peak setting on Belgrad. Again, the filter frequency is controlled by the same pitch sequence as the percussive lead voice, allowing to superimpose the bass sequence depending on filter modulation mode. Then the sound is further processed by Ikarie for some additional grit and movement. Finally Sarajewo adds a long beat delay. Lead Synth: Manis Iteritas Alia / WTF! Versio / Electus Versio.
