Saved her Wig! Unexpected Restoration & Rescue of a Vintage 70 yr old 24 Sweet Sue Walking Doll

This vintage 70 year old American Character Sweet Sue walking came to us to be restored, but we did not know what we were getting ourselves into. She has her original Saran wig and it took the both of us to save it. The wig cap was in such bad shape that at every turn we had a new problem and nearly lost this wonder original part of her. It needed to sewn, glued, washed, healed with heat, and set in curlers. But with determination and divine intervention we managed to restore her wig and cleaned the inside of her head and the rod that attaches her to her walking mechanism. She is a beautiful girl, and I hope that some of these techniques can help you with your vintage doll.
