Query Update and Indie Book Fair

I finally found a comp title that I feel really good about 😍 Also, going to indie book fairs is a really humbling experience 😅 I've sent out another batch of queries, this time 14 at once instead of 5. The rejections started rolling in a lot faster than I was anticipating 🫠 But hey, I'm still waiting on 11 responses so there's hope yet. As always, trying to be patient and not spiral. But spiraling anyway. Had a close-up view of the indie publishing experience (there aren't many book fairs in Amsterdam so it was really nice to attend this one). I will describe it as...enlightening...and somewhat terrifying lol. Tell me your thoughts on indie publishing or how the query trenches are going for you 😊 00:00:00 Intro 00:00:34 Finally finding the right comp titles (probably) 00:11:54 Query numbers 00:17:18 Indie Book Fair 00:31:50 Plan moving forward #writingcommunity #writing #querytrenches #querying #queryingauthors
