Is Tavë Krapi Albanian, Montenegrin, Serbian, Macedonian, Greek… or a traditional dish shared across the Balkans? 🇦🇱🇲🇪🇷🇸🇲🇰🇬🇷 In this video, I show you the traditional preparation of Tavë Krapi Shkodrane (Shkodran Carp Casserole) from beginning to end — starting with the fresh carp, seeing it prepared at the market, and then cooking the complete traditional dish. Tavë Krapi is strongly associated with the Shkodra/Lake Shkodra area of northern Albania, where fresh carp is traditionally prepared with onions, tomatoes, peppers, parsley and vinegar before being baked. The dish is recognised by Albania’s official tourism authorities as a symbolic dish of the Lake Shkodra area. But here’s the question… WHO DO YOU THINK THIS DISH BELONGS TO? 👀👇 🇦🇱 Albania 🇲🇪 Montenegro 🇷🇸 Serbia 🇲🇰 North Macedonia 🇬🇷 Greece 🇧🇦 Bosnia 🇭🇷 Croatia 🌍 Or is it a wider Balkan tradition? Watch the full video and tell me what YOU think in the comments — and most importantly, tell me WHY. 🇦🇱 Kuzhina Irines | Gatime Ushqime Tradicionale Shqiptare #TaveKrapi #AlbanianFood #BalkanFood #Shkodra #AlbanianCuisine #KrapShkodre #Albania #GatimeShqiptare #TraditionalFood #CarpRecipe #BalkanCuisine #shqip
