It is very common for children to attend a different church from their parents as they grow older. CERC has sometimes faced concern because of young people choosing to attend our church. Located near several universities, CERC naturally welcomes many students, including those from Christian Fellowships, who are seeking a place to grow in their faith. While we have heard our church described as “very intense” or “too serious,” and even falsely labeled a “cult,” we see this instead as a reflection of our deep commitment to spiritual growth, community, and thoughtful engagement.
