I typically use a chock with the bike straight up and down and soft straps, as well as use an incline, but tried to show how you can load up in an emergency when a friend comes to your rescue. That being said, I hauled my bike just like this, with these exact straps and no chock from Atlanta to Ft. Worth Texas without any problems.
