My First Day Volunteering at a Juvenile Detention Center | Eden’s Garden

I recorded this after my first day volunteering at the Jefferson County Youth Detention Center on March 8, 2026. It confirmed my soul's assignment. I first saw the vision for Eden’s Garden in 2018. This is the day it started to become real. Eden’s Garden is a Birmingham, Alabama 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving girls and young ladies ages 8 to 24. At our core, Eden’s Garden reduces recidivism by providing reentry support to girls and young ladies, particularly Black and Brown girls, in the juvenile justice system.
