🚨🔥 Weekly release – Old Time Something Come Back Again Vol.25 🔥🚨 This week, Jah Golden Throne Records revisits one of the deepest modern roots foundations with the CREATED BY THE FATHER / BABATUNDE RIDDIM. 🎶🔥 This is a relatively recent foundation compared to the previous volumes, but it has already earned its place among the modern reggae classics. 👑 Let’s get the history right 👇 👉 The original foundation is "Created By The Father" by Dennis Brown, recorded at Studio One and produced by Clement Coxsone Dodd. It later inspired several modern reinterpretations. 👉 In 1999, producer Lloyd Corniffe revived the foundation on the Henfield label under the name Babatunde, featuring artists such as Anthony B, Capleton, George Nooks, Jah Cure, Luciano and Jah Mason. 👉 The riddim became even more popular in 2001 when Safire released a major juggling including: Beres Hammond – La La La Bushman – One Way George Nooks – Just Say So Tony Curtis – Only Jah Tristan Palmer – Stronger Pinchers – Be A Good Man Later, Blacker Dread and other labels continued to version the same foundation with artists like Luciano, Leroy Gibbons, Jah Cure, Lutan Fyah and Courtney Melody. 🔥 For Vol.25, Marshall Neeko pays tribute to the Safire-era version, faithfully recreating its warm, spiritual and unmistakable new-roots vibe while giving it the signature Jah Golden Throne treatment.
