Product leaders, investors and policy voices on the guardrails, standards and open questions shaping AI across K-20. As AI moves from novelty to infrastructure across K-20, someone has to define what “good” looks like technically, pedagogically and commercially. The standards, guardrails, product decisions and emerging norms now forming will help decide which products get trusted, adopted and funded, and they’re being shaped in real time by labs, investors, product leaders, institutions and policymakers rather than by any settled authority. This session brings together perspectives from across the AI and education ecosystem to examine what’s actually emerging, who’s shaping the rules, how product leaders are responding, and what remains genuinely unsettled. What you’ll take away: Which AI safety, efficacy and guardrail expectations are actually taking hold in K-20, and who’s shaping them across labs, states, districts and institutions How product leaders are deciding what AI should and shouldn’t do for learners, and what that means for trust and adoption Where standards, product expectations and policy are consolidating versus still genuinely contested, and what that means for how companies build and sell How founders and investors are building and betting around rules that aren’t finished yet, and what “responsible AI” is worth commercially Speakers: Amit Patel, Owl Ventures Siya Raj Purohit, OpenAI Dan Meyer, Amplify 😎 Stay updated with Edtech Insiders!
