SOHRA!! 🇮🇳 : 4 Waterfalls, 1Day, ZERO Regrets!!

Get ready for an INCREDIBLE day exploring the spectacular waterfalls around SOHRA (Cherrapunji), Meghalaya, India! 🇮🇳 If you thought Meghalaya couldn't get any more beautiful, just wait until you see what we discovered! Our adventure takes us to some absolutely breathtaking waterfalls, surrounded by the lush green landscapes, dramatic cliffs, and incredible natural beauty that make this part of Northeast India so special. First, we hike down to beautiful PRUT FALLS, climb our way up behind the waterfall, and tackle a surprisingly strenuous trail back up the mountain. The best part? We have this incredible place practically ALL TO OURSELVES! Next, we discover spectacular JAMAILAR FALLS, with wide cascading waterfalls and some of the most INCREDIBLY CLEAR swimming holes we've seen. We spend about an hour swimming in the freezing but amazingly clear water. When we return, the entrance guard has finally arrived, so we stop to say hello and pay our entry fee before heading off! And then comes MAWSAWA FALLS, where we meet a fellow traveler, put on our life vests, and brave the frigid mountain water. Getting underneath the powerful waterfall isn't exactly graceful, but the experience of finally sitting beneath that pounding water is absolutely INCREDIBLE! Sohra is famous for its extraordinary rainfall, dramatic landscapes, waterfalls, caves, and deep green valleys. But there's so much more to discover here than just the famous viewpoints. For us, this is what travel is all about: getting outdoors, meeting people, discovering incredible places, and having experiences that stay with you long after the adventure is over.
