Supporting survivors of modern slavery through the women's safe house

Every year, thousands of women are stuck in exploitation. Even when they manage to leave their situation of exploitation, recovery remains challenging. Without the opportunities to build skills and independence, survivors are vulnerable to re-exploitation. Since 2011, Unseen’s women’s safe house has provided a place of healing. For 15 years – thanks to your support – survivors in our safe houses have created new relationships, reclaimed a sense of identity, and started rebuilding their lives. To mark International Women’s Day, Unseen hosted an exclusive webinar to celebrate the 15th anniversary of our women’s safe house.
