Shopping in Korea becomes much easier when you know what to say—and understand what store employees may say to you. In this lesson, you’ll learn practical Korean conversations for 12 real-life shopping situations. You’ll learn what to say when you: • Enter a store • Ask for help • Look for an item • Ask about colors and sizes • Check availability or stock • Try something on • Ask about prices and discounts • Compare products and make a decision • Buy more than one item or request gift wrapping • Pay at the checkout counter • Answer questions about bags, receipts, points, and tax refunds • Exchange or return an item • Leave the store You’ll practice both customer expressions and common phrases used by store employees in Korea. Each chapter includes natural Korean expressions, pronunciation guides, and short dialogues to help you understand real shopping conversations. You do not need to memorize every expression at once. First, practice recognizing the different phrases so you can understand what the staff is saying. Then, choose the expressions that are easiest for you to remember and practice using them naturally.
