Jamie Gillis as Mark | A Coming of Angels (1977) 🎬

Some characters stay memorable because they don't follow the usual hero formula, and Mark is one of those roles that makes revisiting a film like this interesting. 🖤 Directed by Joel Scott and written by Gary Stevens and Robin Marks, A Coming of Angels - blends crime, mystery and drama into a story filled with danger, deception and unexpected turns. The story follows three female private investigators who go undercover to infiltrate a criminal organization involved in kidnapping and exploiting women. Jamie Gillis is undoubtedly the highlight here. There's something fascinating about the way an antihero can bring a different energy to a story, and Mark fits that mould with his unconventional persona. He isn't the typical hero you expect to root for; it's the character's edge and morally grey nature that make him interesting. Jamie's screen presence gives Mark a distinct identity, making him a character worth remembering when looking back at 1970s cinema. It's roles like these that show how memorable a character can be without fitting into the usual hero stereotype.
