Join Dr Meesha, an artist and art educator based in Abu Dhabi, for a drawing lesson designed for kids, beginners and anyone who enjoys creating surprising art. ✏️ WHAT YOU’LL LEARN ✅ 3D Hole Drawing: Turn a square into a deep-looking hole using measured lines, black marker and pencil shading. ✅ Torn Paper Stairs Illusion: Draw stairs that appear beneath a ripped notebook page, complete with torn edges and blue and red notebook lines. ✅ Floating Cube Drawing: Discover how a carefully shaped cube, light and dark shading, and a separate cast shadow create a floating effect. ✅ Dancing Checkerboard Cube: Draw, colour, cut and fold a black-and-white paper pattern into a hollow corner that looks like a cube and appears to turn as you move it! 🎨 MATERIALS Paper, pencil, eraser, ruler, black marker, blue and red pens, scissors, glue and a pencil to hold the final illusion. Younger children should have adult help with cutting. 💡 DRAWING TECHNIQUES Practice geometric drawing, pencil shading, light and shadow, checkerboard patterns and viewing angles.
