Leeton, the food bowl of Australia

Leeton is a unique town at the heart of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area. Irrigation construction scheme started in 1906. The result was that it transformed the barren plains into a fertile agricultural oasis. It is now the richest agricultural areas in Australia.
