THE IMPORTANCE OF OBEDIENCE — JOSHUA 6:18–19 During the conquest of Jericho, Joshua instructed the Israelites concerning the things devoted to destruction and the silver, gold, and vessels of bronze and iron consecrated to the Lord. This passage highlights the importance of obedience, holiness, and respecting what belongs to God. It reminds us that faith must be accompanied by a willingness to follow God's instructions rather than our own desires. 4.
