Little & Large at the SVR Autumn Steam Gala!

Join me for two days at the Severn Valley Railway’s Autumn Steam Gala, with an impressive mixture of locomotives working along the line between Kidderminster and Bridgnorth. Across the two days, I travel behind a variety of steam locomotives, visit stations along the route, stop at Country Park Halt, capture plenty of lineside action and stay into the evening for some fantastic late-running steam — including a double-headed finale. There’s everything from smaller tank engines and the 1450 auto-train through to the considerably larger 46115 Scots Guardsman, making this very much a weekend of little and large! Of course, despite attending an Autumn STEAM Gala, various heritage diesels and West Midlands Railway Class 172s also managed to find their way into the video. Their contribution has been appropriately acknowledged: “You’re not steam!” Several times. 😂 A brilliant couple of days at the SVR, with plenty of steam, noise, atmosphere and an excellent variety of locomotives throughout the weekend.
