THE ULTIMATE DOUBLE: Rai Benjamin | 400m & 400m Hurdles in Budapest

I’m stepping into something I’ve never done before. At the World Athletics Ultimate Championship in Budapest, I’ll be racing both the 400m hurdles and the open 400m. I’m bringing you inside my preparation in Los Angeles before heading to Budapest. I break down what it takes to prepare for two very different events, how my approach changes between the hurdles and the flat 400m, and why I wanted to take on this challenge in the first place. The championship runs September 11-13 in Budapest and brings together many of the top athletes in the world across 28 events. For me, it’s an opportunity to step outside of what I normally do and see what I can accomplish across both the 400m hurdles and 400m in the same championship.
