🚨 SHOCKING! Zeynep Sonmez SPEAKS OUT on Alex Eala After Wuhan Doubles Defeat — The REAL Reason STUNS Fans! 🇵🇭🎾 Alex Eala and Zeynep Sonmez lost to Anhelina Kalinina and Dayana Yastremska 6-2, 6-3 in the first round of the Wuhan Open doubles. The Filipino-Turkish pair committed 19 unforced errors, won only 40 percent of their first-serve points, and bowed out in just 69 minutes. But it was what Sonmez said afterwards that truly stunned the tennis world. The Turkish star, who has known Eala for years, didn't talk about the errors. She didn't talk about the scoreline. She talked about the human being behind the athlete. "She's carrying the weight of an entire nation on her shoulders," Sonmez said. "People don't see that. They only see the results. They only see the losses. They don't see the human being behind the athlete." Eala gave up P61 million to play for the Philippines. She risked a $10,000 fine. She has no regrets.
