This relaxing drive begins among the saguaros and desert mountains north of Phoenix, continues through Payson, and finishes at the Pine Trailhead near the Arizona Trail and Highline Trail. Along the way, the landscape completely transforms—from rugged desert scenery to towering ponderosa pines.
