Amos Quill – Book of the Forgotten [Unreleased 1980 Album]Roots Reggae | Dub | Rastafari | LostTapes

Book of the Forgotten imagines Amos Quill opening a weathered volume filled not with the victories of rulers, but with the names, memories and testimony of people pushed outside the official story. Heavy basslines, hypnotic one-drop rhythms, warm organ bubbles and smoky dub echoes surround ten fictional meditations on knowledge, ancestral memory and the struggle to preserve truth against silence and destruction. From the surviving fragments of Pages the Fire Missed to the defiant message of Ink Outlive the Sword, the album treats memory as an act of resistance. Read the Words of the Poor turns attention toward voices ignored by power, while Children Find the Pages passes their lessons forward. The journey closes with Last Page Still Open, leaving history unfinished and placing responsibility for its next chapter in the hands of those still living. TRACKLIST 1. Book of the Forgotten 2.
