TNSA Talk: Public Chapter 1044 Sept 17, 2026

This presentation will discuss the requirements of HB 2552 / Public Chapter 1044 and its mandate for a coordinated and timely development review process. The Center for Local Planning, MTAS, and CTAS have developed guidance documents, webinars, and Q&A resources to assist communities in understanding and implementing the new legislation. The presentation will walk through the language and intent of the bill and provide practical guidance for communities on how to implement the requirements and fine-tune their existing development review processes. We will also discuss some of the questions and challenges communities may encounter as they work through the new deadlines and review procedures.
