The Mere That I Bear (Salt Version)

Lyrics: I shall leave this February, my other half still incomplete; If I must return, can I come back this coming January? Though I am already so far from you now, I shall be even more distant the moment I return. Mere thought(s) does not give birth to reality; Time’s claws tear at it before one can draw near. Words fail to shape the things I long for; They scatter before reaching their mark—may they rain upon your hair, May they drift into your dreams and your thoughts— My voice, carried on leaves gathered from the love I bear for you.
