Admission: Free About Carol Stuart Watson: A ninth-generation Marylander, Carol Stuart Watson (1931–1986) was a fine artist, illustrator, muralist and publisher. Her work appeared in countless publications, commercial products and public spaces. From her detailed historical maps to her society invitations, Watson’s art remains a cherished record of the capital’s cultural life. Her artwork and archives are preserved at the People’s Archive of the D.C. Public Library, housed at the Georgetown Neighborhood Library.
