What's up guys? Synthetic Division here!
Today we're taking a deep dive into the Vimu BV002 — a brand new dual BM1373 solo Bitcoin miner from Vimu. This thing ships at 10 TH/s with two BM1373 chips, draws around 140–147W rated, and after a slight downtune + some cheap heatsink upgrades, it is running an extremely efficient ~8.2 TH/s at roughly 16 J/TH. That puts it ahead of several of the other miners in my current fleet.
Full disclosure: Vimu sent this unit for review (I covered duties and shipping). It arrived via Amazon and the box took a beating in transit — the stand leg got broken. Not Vimu’s fault. Amazon’s packing and handling on this one was rough.
What we cover:
Unboxing and first impressions
Real-world hashrate, power draw, and temps (stock vs downtuned)
Full teardown — 3-phase power delivery, removable heatsink, clean board layout, Ethernet, full-size fan
Cheap heatsink upgrades on the VRM/inductor area and front pads
Thermal camera checks
Efficiency comparison vs my NerdQaxe / QX1
Final thoughts
After the mods and slight downtune:
~8.2 TH/s poolside
~132–145W at the wall
~16 J/TH
Cooler temps with the extra heatsinks
This is one of the better designed dual-chip boards I’ve seen lately — solid power stage, removable heatsink, and full-size fan. Props to Vimu.
