The Rise of Infinaughty - PART 1: The Day the Blocks Turned Pink | Numberblocks (S9 E1)

Octonaughty becomes Infinaughty and can change the rules of Numberland at will - starting by turning everyone's blocks pink! Can the Numberblocks still work out who's who? --- Today's Math Lesson:: Conservation of number. Curriculum: In this episode, early learners discover a fundamental math concept: a number's value is determined by how many ones it contains, not by its color or size! No matter what Infinaughty does to the blocks, they learn that counting the individual pieces is the only way to solve the puzzle. Level 4, Green. --- The episode starts with a recap of The Space Signal. One and Three are at the Numberland Museum gazing at the Golden Infinity. Octonaughty enters the museum, pretending to be Eight by not wearing his masks, distracting One and Three. Shortly after, the real Numberblock Eight enters, but it was too late, as Octonaughty steals the Golden Infinity and transforms into Infinaughty. Infinaughty commences his first 'cosmic prank', turning all the Numberblocks magenta, numberling-less, Wrongblocks. At first, the Numberblocks are confused, but shortly One figures out that they can figure out who any Numberblock is by counting their blocks. Infinaughty, frustrated, gives the Numberblocks a challenge, asking if they can figure out who the mystery Numberblock is. One doesn't recognise their voice and says that the number looks very large, but they get the idea to separate the mysterious Numberblock into tens and the remaining ones. The Numberblock becomes 10 + 10 + 10 + 7, and they now know the mystery Numberblock is Thirty-Seven.
